We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Associate MSAT Engineer to join our Manufacturing Science Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Working within the Clinical Manufacturing team, you will contribute to the initial manufacturing activities at AbCellera’s new GMP clinical monoclonal antibody manufacturing facility.

  • Supporting execution and documentation of process characterization, scale-up, or troubleshooting studies
  • Participating in deviation investigations and supporting root cause analysis
  • Maintaining and organizing process monitoring databases and dashboards
  • Collaborating with Manufacturing, QA, and Process Development teams to transfer knowledge and support batch readiness activities
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., process robustness, yield improvement, or documentation efficiency)

We'd love to hear from you if

  • You have 2+ years of related work experience in bioprocess development within a GMP manufacturing setting
  • You have a BSc in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, or Industrial) or Life Sciences (Biotech, Pharmaceutical Sciences)
  • You are strongly self-motivated and are able to identify project needs and follow that up with building and implementing solutions
  • You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional team
  • You have excellent documentation and communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail
  • You are able to learn new technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • You are enthusiastic about applying your expertise to biopharmaceutical manufacturing; prior experience in a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment would be considered an asset

What we offer

AbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $57,000 - $71,154 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.

You will have a CAD $1,500 annual Active Lifestyle Allowance, annual vacation, professional development opportunities, and comprehensive health benefits. Scientific and technical mentorship is a priority. And you’ll find we prioritize teams and social groups to build community and connections across AbCellera.
